Overview

Geoweb3d takes advantage of ArcGIS technology in order to provide advanced GIS capabilities and allowing it to plug in to existing ArcGIS solutions.

Current ArcGIS users will find a suite of additional functionality provided through the embedded ArcGIS Engine. In addition to 3D and web tabs, add one or more ArcGIS tabs to your Geoweb3d project. Load your existing projects and maps directly into Geoweb3d and navigate them using the same user interface controls you’re used to in ArcGIS Desktop. Access personal and file geodatabases and view them in one or more ArcGIS and 3D views.

Embedded Map Control

If you are one of the many people that use ArcGIS Desktop, you’ll already have a head start when you first run Geoweb3d. Add a new ArcGIS tab, load up one of your projects, and start navigating your maps using the same tools you use on a regular basis. All supported layers will automatically be added to the shared table of contents, meaning they can immediately be visualized within the 3D scene.

Geodatabase Support

All Geoweb3d products support the loading of vector data from personal and file geodatabases, given a valid ArcGIS license. This means they can plug and play with established ArcGIS solutions, bringing all the capabilities of Geoweb3d without the need for data conversion or manipulation.

Shared Views

ArcGIS tabs support the shared location clipboard, meaning you may at any time capture your current location within your map and view it in any 3D tab, or in any supported geoenabled website, such as Google Maps, Virtual Earth or OpenStreetMaps.

What if I don't have ArcGIS?

Users without an ArcGIS license will be unable to load data from a file geodatabase, and will not have the option to create an ArcGIS tab. If you are not an ArcGIS customer but would still like to take advantage of these features, you may obtain an ArcGIS Runtime license directly from ESRI. This license will activate the full capabilities of Geoweb3d. The ArcGIS Runtime license typically costs at most $500.
