Modernizing Visualization Tools
Most GIS based Emergency Management systems have historically used either 2D mapping systems or 3D views with 2D data. Geoweb3d can provide a visualization solution that can modernize the planning and responder capabilities at the local, state, and federal agencies of emergency management. These capabilities can be put in the hands of officials responsible for consequence management of man made or natural emergencies and provide access to the latest in situational awareness and viewing of 3D datasets fused with relevant GIS data. An unmatched Common Operating Picture.
GIS for Multilevel Structures
As shown in the adjacent NYC screenshot, multilevel structures are not well suited for 2D visualizations. Evacuation routes throughout urban real estate, for example, is inherently suited for 3D. Complex internal structures delay escape and make emergency response difficult. Transport routes are a combination of horizontal (per floor) and vertical (amongst floors). Geoweb3d can visualize and analyze these corridors within their spatial environment and effectively communicate the relationships through a hybrid of thematic and realistic renderings.
Geoweb3d can accurately represent 3D buildings and underground structures and fuse this data together with other GIS data.
Transparency
Buildings facades can be made transparent highlighting internal stairwells or elevator shafts. The ground can be made transparent to have clear visibility to underground structures.
Proximity Search
Proximity searches, on a per layer basis, allow for selection of features within a given radius such as all fire hydrants within a one mile radius.
These can be isolated for visual exaggeration or further analysis.
